Created and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, JC YUP is designed to unlock social mobility potential of youth in Hong Kong. The JC YUP Professional Traineeship (PT) programme is supported by industry partners including HKIHRM to broaden youth access to diverse career pathways beyond conventional academic routes for DSE graduates. HKIHRM connects employers with motivated young talent through a structured and subsidized two-year traineeship programme, helping to develop a future-ready workforce equipped with practical experience, professional skills, and the confidence to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

Unlike traditional academic programs, JC YUP focuses on enhancing youth's mobility potential. The programme empowers students to discover their potential beyond exam scores, build confidence, and develop real-world skills to prepare for an ever-changing job market.

CV360® is adopted in the JC YUP programme as a way for employers to understand candidates, particularly those without formal job experience. CV360® reflects a candidate's personal qualities gained from different life experiences, which allows employers to understand young employees' strengths and interests comprehensively. It helps employers match them to the right jobs and add value to the business.

Young people aged 18 to under 29 who are DSE graduates and are motivated and eager to work. They will be pre-screened using the CV360® / VASK framework—focusing on Values, Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge—not just academic results.
